    A shooter stone delivered off-target in the direction of the intended final resting place (draw) or in the direction of the object rock (hit).

    The clockwise turn applied to the shooter rock during the delivery sequence.

    The counter clockwise turn applied to the shooter rock during the delivery sequence.

    A bon spiel in which a "team" is one or two people, male or female, or mixed, who may deliver up to 8 rocks per end. Usually, a game consists of less than the normal 8 ends common for club games.

    A strategy of play in which many rocks are put in play to; hopefully, by capitalizing on "lucky" bounces, to deter a more skilled team from out-scoring an end.

    Fast Ice. Low friction ice that allows a rock to travel hogline to hogline in 13-1/2 seconds or more and draw to the "T"-line.

    The first player of each team to deliver their rocks.

    The wrapping of the slider foot/leg about the hack foot in the delivery sequence. While it affords the curler a certain "flair"style, the motion does introduce several variables of body motion that must be overcome during delivery; hence, makes the delivery harder with non-repeatable accuracy.
